Response to StAcey's Second Random Impulse of Week #1 (Classmate Response)

This blurb from Stacey's short story certainly leaves me wanting to read more.  Starting off with the main character having memories of the mother's presence as if she is there really causes me to feel a real sense of loss and sympathy when it is later revealed that her mother died a year ago.  Going into detail about things that happen when people are sad or feel loss, like when Aurora's "tears threatened to stream down her cheeks, but she held them at bay," triggers me to remember how this action feels and empathize with Aurora.  This entry being filled with an emotional event that happens in the character's life makes me want details about the kind of person Aurora is.  It makes me want to find out how her mother's death affects her past, present (at the beginning of the story), and future (as in throughout the story) life.  The mentions of Aurora having dreams about her mother along with hints of her sadness leaves me to expect that how she feels about her mother's death will play a major role in her life throughout the book.
Stacy's entry is awesomely emotion-driven, and I would not change a thing about it.
